Our favorite tours
MTB tours
Three of our favorite tours for mountain bikers start right outside the front door. So, get on your bike and into the adventure!
The Passerdammweg to Meran
Leisurely
This simple, 20 km long bike tour leads along the Passer and is particularly suitable for beginners. It starts in St. Leonhard and ends in the old town of Meran.
Up to the Pfistradalm
Moderately difficult
This moderately difficult tour takes you through original natural landscapes. The route runs via the Happergweg to path no. 13 to the St. Anna Church, then to the Pfistradalm and back again.
Up to the Pfandleralm
Challenging
The difficult tour leads along the Passerdammweg to St. Martin to the Hotel Golf Lodge. Then follow Prantachstraße until you reach a forest road, which you follow to the Pfandleralm.
Road bike tours
The following tours start right outside the door of the CHALET LES OVIS:
Timmelsjoch (2,000 m)
One of the most popular and also most difficult road bike tours in South Tyrol takes you up to the border pass between Austria and Italy. The path through the barren high mountain landscape is characterized by steep climbs and serpentines – but once you reach the top, not only a magnificent view awaits you, but also the impressive Pass Museum. Important: The Timmelsjoch is closed from mid-October to the end of May due to snow.
Jaufenpass (2,095 m)
The Jaufenpass, the shortest connection between Meran and Sterzing, takes you through a magnificent alpine backdrop in approx. 20 kilometers. If you want to face the challenge, you have to tackle up to 12% incline and 1,700 meters of altitude difference. Along the road, which is open all year round, there are several places to stop for a small or large refreshment.
